Alex de Minaur storms into the 3rd round of the Australian Open

eniQ ambassador Alex de Minaur stormed into the 3rd round of the Australian Open with a clinical straight sets win in Melbourne last night.

Australia's top-ranked player set up a third-round meeting with Fabio Fognini after beating Uruguay's world No.71 Pablo Cuevas on Margaret Court Arena.

It was a clinical display from Alex whose win equals his best-ever run at his home grand slam.

Alex breezed through the opening two sets, before being challenged by Cuevas in the third.

Cuevas broke Alex and looked as if he was on course to pull a set back from the 21-year-old.

However, Alex drew on his trademark fighting spirit to halt the Uruguayan's momentum, winning the next 4 games and eventually taking the third set 7-5 to seal his spot in the next round.

Alex will play Italian veteran Fognini (seeded 16) in Saturday night's prime time TV match on Margaret Court Arena.

eniQ products have played an important role in Alex's hydration & recovery this week.

Alex has been using the eniQ electrolyte to stay hydrated on court and the eniQ electrolyte whey protein isolate to rehydrate and recover between matches.

Lemon Lime & Blackcurrant are his favourite flavours.
