WA wins Marsh One-Day Cup final after undefeated season

Last night Western Australia took one step closer to repeating last season's clean sweep of domestic men's titles with a comfortable victory in the Marsh One-Day Cup final against South Australia at the WACA.

A record breaking innings of 138 (110 balls) from opener and Player-of-the-Match Josh Inglis and his partnership of 227 with Cameron Bancroft (90) was the catalyst of the win. Some big hitting from all-rounders Mitch Marsh (56 off 30) and Ashton Agar (26 off 15) took the innings to WA’s equal-highest ever total of 7-387 on the way to a dominant 181-run victory.

After a solid opening stand South Australia (209) collapsed, losing 6 wickets for 45 runs, largely due to experienced pair Ashton Agar (5-64) and Andrew Tye (3-34).

WA was undefeated throughout the 2022/23 One-Day season.

With the 2022/23 BBL and Marsh Cup One-Day trophies now in the cabinet, attention now turns to the Sheffield Shield, where WA sits on top of the table with a home final secured.
